Structure

The structure designed for the Blockchurna voting system is based on the Brazilian Electronic Voting Machine, model UE2015 (see Figure 1).

The front panel accommodates the 7-inch LCD screen, positioned on the center-left. Below the screen, on the bottom left, lays the biometric sensor, embedded with just the tip exposed, allowing easy access to identify users while keeping the sensor well protected. To the right of the screen, the keyboard spans the width of the right section. This configuration is intended to make it easy to interact with the voters.

On the right side there are some roles drilled (labeled as 4 on Figure 3) to serve as ventilation by accomodating a 80mm cooler. On the front some cuts are made to fit the keyboard (1), screen (2) and the biometric sensor (3).

On the back side there are two holes: one for the power supply connector (label 7), one for the USB connector for the thermal printer to be connected to (6). Also, there is a chamber (5) to safely store a pendrive, which will contain the votes made on that voting machine. This, later on, will be covered with a lid (Figure 6) sealed with a paper seal to detect openings and so the possibility of fraud.

On the left side there is a hole to accomodate the speaker (8) to play sounds once the person has voted and also a hole (9) to connect the earphones on a P2 connector, so people with **Visual impairment** can have sound accessibility and vote securely.
